PHASE 01 — ALGORITHMIC DEMOCRACY

The Algorithms Running Your Life. Now You Run Them.

Every app you open. Every song that plays next. Every cab that shows up in 4 minutes. Every reel that makes you forget it's 2am. These aren't accidents — they're engineered decisions made by algorithms at scale. Phase 01 breaks them open.

You won't just learn what an algorithm is. You'll dissect the ones that generate billions, shape behavior, and move markets — then rebuild the logic yourself.

What we decode:

Instagram & the Interest Graph — Meta's recommendation engine doesn't show you posts. It predicts your next 3 seconds of attention. We cover EdgeRank evolution, engagement signal weighting, creator reach mechanics, and why the algorithm rewards consistency over virality.

Spotify & the Taste Machine — Discover Weekly isn't curated by humans. It's collaborative filtering + audio feature analysis (BPM, danceability, key, valence) + natural language processing on music blogs. We build a simplified recommendation engine from scratch.

Google & PageRank — The algorithm that started the trillion-dollar empire. We cover graph theory, link authority propagation, why not all backlinks are equal, and how modern search layered BERT and intent-matching on top of the original math.

Rapido & Real-Time Routing — Surge pricing isn't greed. It's a demand-supply balancing algorithm running on live geolocation data. We cover shortest path (Dijkstra), dynamic pricing logic, ETA calculation, and driver-rider matching systems.

Stop Learning Python. Start Using It.

Most Python courses teach you syntax. We teach you production instinct. Phase 02 is about getting fluent fast — not academically, but operationally. The goal: by the end of this phase, you can pick up any problem and start building within 20 minutes.

Python the right way: Variables, control flow, functions — taught through real micro-problems, not textbook exercises. Every concept is grounded in something a working developer actually uses.

APIs & the Internet's nervous system — JSON, HTTP, REST. How apps talk to each other. We call live APIs (weather, maps, news, AI) and handle real responses.

Vibe Coding — The new meta. Using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) not as a crutch but as a force multiplier. How to prompt precisely, debug intelligently, and move 3x faster without losing understanding. Vibe coding is a skill. We treat it like one.

Microapps philosophy — Big software is just small software stitched together. We build modular, single-purpose tools — a price tracker, a notifier bot, a data scraper, a form-to-sheet pipeline — each one a complete, functional product in under 100 lines.

PHASE 03 — BUILD V1 + MARKETING & BRANDING

Ship Something Real. Then Make the World Know It Exists.

This is where most developer courses stop — right before the part that actually matters. Building is 40% of the job. Getting people to use what you built is the other 60%. Phase 03 covers both.

Mission-Led Building: You don't start with features. You start with a problem statement — a real one that exists in your city, your college, your community. We walk through the full V1 framework: problem definition → user persona → core feature list → build sprint → ship.

The constraint is intentional: V1 must be live and shareable in one week. No scope creep. No perfection paralysis. Done beats perfect every time.

What you'll build: A functional microapp solving a specific, named problem for a specific, named user. Not a tutorial clone. Not a demo. Something you can put a link to.

Marketing & Distribution — the missing semester:

Instagram for builders — How to document your build process, create technical content that non-technical people understand, and build an audience that follows your journey not just your product.

X (Twitter) for reach — Thread structure, how to write a launch post, how developers use X to get their first 1000 users, and why personal brand compounds faster than any ad spend.

LinkedIn for credibility — The one platform where being a BTech student building real stuff is genuinely a superpower. How to write project posts that get recruiters and founders in your DMs.

Brand fundamentals: Color, name, one-liner. How to make your project feel like a product, not a college assignment. Canva basics. Writing copy that doesn't sound like it was written by a form.

PHASE 04 — NETWORK OR GET LEFT BEHIND

The People in the Room Determine What Rooms You Get Into.

Technical skill gets you in the door. Your network determines which doors exist. Phase 04 is about building real relationships with people who are 5–10 years ahead of you — and doing it without being awkward or transactional about it.

Who you'll meet: Engineers from Google, Meta, Microsoft, Flipkart, Razorpay, and startups that are building the next version of India's internet. Not as a crowd. As conversations — live sessions, AMAs, small-group calls where you can actually ask real questions.

What we cover:

How to reach out without being cringe — Cold DMs, LinkedIn notes, Twitter replies. The exact frameworks that get responses from busy people.

How to ask questions that make people want to help you — Specificity over flattery. Research over praise. One sharp question beats ten generic ones.

Community vs. audience — Why building within communities (Discord servers, college clubs, Twitter spaces) compounds differently than just growing followers.

How careers actually happen — Referrals, side projects that turn into jobs, hackathons that lead to internships, tweets that lead to cofounders. The informal graph behind every "how did you get there" story.

Outcome: You leave Phase 04 with at least 3 real connections — not follows, not LinkedIn requests, but people who know your name and what you're building.

PHASE 05 — BUILD V2 + GO TO MARKET

This Is the Marathon. Ship, Distribute, Measure, Repeat.

V1 was about proving you can build. V2 is about proving people want it. Phase 05 is the full cycle — upgrade your product based on what you learned, put it in front of real users, and get back actual data.

V2 Build Sprint: You return to your Phase 03 project armed with user feedback, stronger Python skills, and a clearer sense of what matters. V2 isn't just a better version — it's a more intentional one. New features only if they solve a real user problem. Better UX. Cleaner code. Actual error handling.

Go-To-Market execution:

The launch plan — Product Hunt basics, building a waitlist, leveraging your Phase 04 network for first amplification, timing your posts, cross-posting across platforms simultaneously.

Getting your first 100 users — Not through ads. Through community seeding, direct outreach, college WhatsApp groups, Reddit threads, and maker communities. The scrappy playbook that actually works at zero budget.

Measuring what matters — Installs vs. active users. Retention vs. acquisition. How to read basic analytics and make decisions from them without a data science degree.

The Marathon: A 48–72 hour live sprint where every student pushes their V2 to the finish line — ships it, posts about it, collects their first user reactions in real time. Energy is shared. Accountability is public. The goal is not perfection. The goal is launched.
